Gfinity announced yesterday the launch of the Gfinity Elite Series. The series will see professional gamers competing across the world’s most biggest esports titles in a new league format described as “dynamic”.

Gfinity Elite Series.

The league is initially to launch in the UK, before expanding internationally in an attempt to create the Gfinity World Series.

The intentions of the league are clear: to provide UK esports with a league that players can participate in, all the way from grass roots to professional level. To qualify, gamers of any level from anywhere around the world must play for ranking points in the Gfinity Challenger Series which will get underway as early as January 2017

The top competitors will qualify for the Gfinity Elite Draft, where teams will draft players to play as professional gamers in the Elite Series.

The Elite Series will get underway in April 2017 – and will see some of the best esports players in the world compete in franchise teams for the title of “Gfinity Elite Series UK Champions”. The league matches will be held in the Gfinity Arena in London.

Neville Upton, CEO of Gfinity said: “As the gamers champion, Gfinity is excited to be launching the Gfinity Elite Series. The UK has some of the best talent in esports and Gfinity Elite Series gives them the opportunity to hone their skills and take on some of the best from around the world. This is what the UK eSports community has been waiting for and we can’t wait to take this truly global.”

Esports Insider says: It’s a slightly confusing mixture of a grassroots UK initiative, whilst also encouraging players from around the world to be involved. Once the qualification is done and dusted it’ll be interesting to see how many of the top players are UK based. Additionally, we’re interested to see which titles will be offered as often in the case of esports – the best talent around the world already have teams.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
