Team Aydan has won Nadeshot Verdansk Invitational, a Call of Duty: Warzone tournament hosted by 100 Thieves co-owner Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag.
The team consisting of Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad, Benjamin ‘Almond’ Rosendahl, and Riley ‘zSmit’ Smith emerged victorious after four hours of competition, earning 386 points and $30,000 (~£22,414) in prize money.
Instead of the tournament format featuring placement multipliers, teams had four hours to score the highest number of eliminations. The four highest-scoring matches contributed to the overall score, with the highest securing the victory and the lion’s share of the prize pool.
Team Aydan beat Team Biffle, which featured prominent Warzone personalities from Saudi Arabian esports organisation Team Falcons. The team finished second with 377 points.
Team Fifakill was the highest-placing European team, finishing fourth with 360 points and narrowly missing out on winning any prize money.
The Nadeshot Verdansk Invitational was the fifth major Warzone tournament to take place since the Verdansk map made its return in March 2025. This is also second time the 100 Thieves founder has hosted an event for Call of Duty’s battle royale, having created an invitational event in 2021.
What’s Next for Warzone Esports?
Following the conclusion of the Nadeshot Verdansk Invitational, the attention of some players who competed will turn to season seven of Warzone Total Frenzy.
Running from April 29th to May 27th, 2025, the event sees trios compete for a share of a $40,000 (~£29,889) prize pool. The top 50 teams from three weeks of matches will qualify for the finals.
Elsewhere, Warzone is one of 25 titles that will feature as part of the Esports World Cup. Instead of using Verdansk and the battle royale format, the event will see the return of the Resurgence mode on the Rebirth Island map.
