Following the conclusion of the EMEA Masters Spring 2025 Group Stage, NLC competitors Los Ratones and NORD Esports have been drawn against each other in the Playoffs.

The winner of the single elimination BO5 series, set to take place June 12th, will face the victor of the match between Turkish teams Boostgate Esports and ULF Esports.

Los Ratones, the current reigning EMEA Masters champion, has the statistical upper hand against NORD Esports, with the organisation beating its domestic rival 3-0 in consecutive NLC splits. However, the team, founded by popular content creator Marc Robert ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, only finished second in the EMEA Masters Group Stage, finishing below Barça eSports.

Meanwhile, NORD Esports, which features notable League of Legends personalities such as Marcin ‘Jankos’ Jankowski and Frederik ‘NoWay’ Hinteregger, topped its respective group.

Both of these teams this year — alongside The Ruddy Sack —  have helped propel the NLC’s popularity, with the domestic league smashing its own viewership records. Last Split’s grand finals garnered 223,615 peak viewers, according to Esports Charts, an impressive figure for a tier-two league.

Major Matches In The EMEA Playoffs

Alongside the NLC clash, multiple other tantalising match-ups have been drawn in the first round. On the other side of the bracket, French side Gentle Mates will face off against Superliga 2025 Spring runner-up GIANTX Pride. Meanwhile, German champion CGN Esports will take on another LEC academy team in Los Heretics.

If either NORD or Los Ratones can make it to the EMEA Masters semi-finals, there is a potential match-up against the current French champions BK ROG Esports, which faces Polish team Fajnie Mieć Skład in the first round.

The EMEA Masters Spring 2025 Playoffs will commence on June 11th at 4pm BST with its official English broadcast live on Twitch
