The Milk Cup 2025 LAN Finals will be held at TwitchCon San Diego this October. Featuring a $300,000 prize pool and 50 qualifying duos, it marks the largest women’s Fortnite tournament to date.
Removing financial barriers by covering travel and accommodations for all LAN finalists, the Milk Cup is another platform giving women space to compete at a high level—and the partnership with Twitch marks a milestone in visibility for the tournament.

Produced by an all-women team at Raidiant, The Milk Cup was developed in collaboration with Fortnite streamer ThePeachCobbler and Women of the eRena to address the long-standing access issues women face in professional gaming. The tournament also introduced the Milk Cup Academy, helping newer competitors build confidence and skills.
Despite being an event aimed at giving more space to women in esports, The Milk Cup has faced criticism from some fans. The tournament’s name and milk-focused branding were seen by some as awkward or overly commercial. Meanwhile, the ever-present questions around whether a women-only tournament was even necessary were met with arguments that such events help counter the longstanding underrepresentation of women in professional gaming and provide a more accessible entry point into the competitive scene.
From LA Comic Con to TwitchCon
The Milk Cup’s 2024 LAN Finals was already a record-breaking event. Held at LA Comic Con and featuring a $250,000 prize pool, it saw over 7m viewers tuned in across platforms, according to its organisers.
On Esports Charts, the 2024 Milk Cup recorded over 57k peak Twitch viewers and more than 270k hours watched—and with a Twitch partnership this year, these numbers are bound to grow for 2025.

Organisers say the Milk Cup is ‘making esports history’ as it offers a ‘vital platform’ for the next generation of women gamers, though fans still aren’t sure about the name of the tournament.
With growing viewership, increased investment and a presence at one of gaming’s most recognised events, fans of The Milk Cup can expect a larger-scale tournament that continues to evolve in both scale and impact.
