Call of Duty Mobile has announced that its latest collaboration will be with Gundam, bringing the iconic mechs from the franchise to the first-person shooter.

Several trailers have been dropped online to tease the event, with promises of more information to be released in the near future. Esports Insider breaks down everything there is to know about Call of Duty Mobile’s latest collaboration event, including schedule, potential content and more.

The first post detailing the Call of Duty Mobile X Gundam collaboration was made on YouTube on June 20th, 2025. In the video’s description, it was revealed that the event is set to take place sometime during Season 6, which begins on June 29th.

In a Reddit post promoting the video, the official Call of Duty Mobile account wrote: “We are thrilled to reveal that Gundam x CODM coming in Season 6! More details on the way over the weekend and throughout next week as we get closer to the new season.”

A second video was then posted on X on June 23rd, 2025. While nothing new was revealed in the video itself, the Call of Duty Mobile account revealed in response to an online comment that the event would drop on July 2nd.

Gundam and Call of Duty Unite Once Again

It’s not the first time that both the Call of Duty and Gundam franchise have collaborated. The last instance saw Gundam mobile suits added as cosmetic bundles for both Modern Warfare 3 (2023) and Call of Duty Warzone. Fans anticipate that something similar might come about with the Call of Duty Mobile event.

Gundam has been making huge strides in 2025 as it celebrates Gundam Wing’s 30th anniversary since the Japanese show’s debut in 1995. As a result, it has collaborated with games like Overwatch 2 to commemorate the occasion.

Activision has yet to reveal what exactly to expect from the collaboration event in July. Based on past examples, the event could include cosmetic bundles alongside exclusive challenges and rewards.

As of writing this article, Call of Duty Mobile has yet to announce if any esports activations will take place during the event.
