Riot Games has announced the launch of the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Pro Circuit as part of Set 15’s K.O. Coliseum release.
The Tier 1 tournament circuit will launch in August 2025 and aims to ‘deliver a more stable, rewarding, and watchable ecosystem’.
The TFT Pro Circuit will feature three events taking place throughout the K.O. Coliseum cycle, with the first one taking place on August 29th, 2025. The inaugural TFT Pro Circuit tournament will feature 32 players representing four regions, competing for a chance at victory.
28 of the 32 players will qualify for the circuit based on their performances during Cyber City, while Riot Games will select four based on their historical performance and contribution to TFT esports.
In addition to the new esports circuit for Riot Games’ auto-battler title, the developer and publisher has provided more details on the TFT Open. Taking place at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, France, the tournament will feature 768 player slots, offering players a chance to compete against the best from across the globe.
“With the debut of the TFT Pro Circuit, our revamped Regional Finals, and our new experimental tournament system, the launch of K.O Coliseum represents the most transformative moment in competitive TFT history,” said Michael Sherman, Director of TFT and 2XKO Esports.
“This next chapter brings even greater opportunities for players to shine on the competitive stage, especially with the high-stakes backdrop of Whisker’s ultimate anime fighting tournament.”
Teamfight Tactics In 2025
The TFT Pro Circuit is the latest iteration of Teamfight Tactics’ esports efforts. Its launch follows an update to its ecosystem in March, where Riot Games unveiled a Tier 1 circuit for Cyber City.
The season-ending Tactician’s Crown took place from July 11th to 13th, with 40 players from across the world competing for a share of a $470,000 (~£349,513) prize pool. ZETA DIVISION player Summertimer emerged victorious, taking victory in the fourth Tactician’s Cup of 2025.
