Fnatic has signed Sungwon ‘Poby’ Yun to its League of Legends roster ahead of the 2025 LEC Summer Split

As a result of the signing, Marek ‘Humanoid’ Brázda has been moved to the organisation’s inactive roster.

Poby joins Fnatic after a two-year stint as a member of T1 Esports Academy, where the mid-laner competed in several regional tournaments.

Most recently, Poby scored a top-six placement in the second stage of the Asia Masters 2025 event. Other notable results include a second-place finish at the LCK Challengers League and a victory at the LCK Academy Series August Open Tournament in 2022.

In an announcement video, Poby claims he is coming to “save the LEC”, after Fnatic scored a fourth-place finish at the LEC 2025 Spring Playoffs. As a result of the team’s performance, Fnatic failed to qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). Additionally, Poby believes he can ” help with the team’s tempo and overall strategy.”

Despite its disappointing Playoff campaign, the organisation has continued to compete alongside EMEA’s top teams. As well as its fourth-place Spring Split finish, Fnatic secured third place at the LEC 2025 Winter Playoffs.

“Welcome Poby to the family. I know you have big shoes to fill, but with the way you’ve showed up to English lessons and the hunger already, we’re very excited,” said Sam Matthews, Founder and CEO of Fnatic.

With Poby joining the starting line-up, Humanoid moves to the inactive roster after three years under the Fnatic banner. The organisation’s former mid-laner has yet to comment on the decision.

LEC Summer Split 2025 Details

Poby makes his Fnatic debut in the LEC Summer Split 2025, which begins on August 2nd, 2025. Riot Games has yet to reveal the final schedule for the final split of the year.

The top three teams from the split will earn a place at the World Championship, which heads to China later this year.
