OpTic Texas

After winning Champs and the Esports World Cup, OpTic Texas has yet to make any changes to its starting roster.

Elsewhere, the Green Wall’s substitute, Cesar ‘Skyz’ Bueno, has announced his free agency after a short spell with the team during the regular season.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Major 1 and Major 2 champion, Atlanta FaZe, has undergone significant changes for the 2026 season.

After five years with the franchise McArthur ‘Cellium’ Jovel has become a free agent, bringing a seven-year tenure with FaZe Clan to an end.

Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris became the third member to depart the franchise, after confirming free agency for the 2026 season on July 31st.

After confirming free agency, aBeZy officially announced his departure from the franchise on August 22nd, bringing a five-year tenure with Atlanta FaZe to an end.

With two players looking for pastures new, Chris ‘Simp‘ Lehr and Zack ‘Drazah‘ Jordan are the last remaining players on the starting roster, after the latter re-signed for the franchise on September 5th.

On September 19th, a rumoured relocation was confirmed, with the franchise moving to Las Vegas, Nevada and rebranding to FaZe Vegas. Alongside the rebrand, former Vancouver Surge players Jordan ‘Abuzah‘ François and Jovan ‘04‘ Rodriguez have joined Simp and Drazah for the 2026 season.

Los Angeles Thieves

After initially looking like the Los Angeles Thieves would stick together for the Black Ops 7 season, the franchise is looking to rejuvenate its roster.

Dan ‘Ghosty’ Rothe announced he is a restricted free agent, leaving the franchise searching for a player for next year. Elsewhere, Dylan ‘Envoy‘ Hannon confirmed his unrestricted free agency on August 9th, 2025.

After announcing their free agencies in August, the Los Angeles Thieves announced the departures of Envoy and Ghosty, leaving the franchise on the hunt for two new additions to its starting lineup.

On September 25th, the Los Angeles Thieves officially announced the signings of Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams and Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris, rounding off a powerhouse roster for Black Ops 7.

Toronto KOI

After looking like the Black Ops 6 roster would stick together for Black Ops 7, Toronto KOI has made slight adjustments to its roster for the 2026 season.

After announcing unrestricted free agency on August 12th, 2025, Jamie ‘Insight‘ Craven rejoined the franchise alongside Tobias ‘CleanX‘ Juul Jønsson and Joseph ‘JoeDeceives‘ Romero after Toronto KOI confirmed its roster on October 8th.

On October 24th, OverActive Media unveiled the rebrand from Toronto Ultra to Toronto KOI, aligining its esports portfolio under a singular platform.

Vancouver Surge

Despite regular appearances in tournament Grand Finals, Vancouver Surge is also overhauling its whole roster.

On August 12th, the franchise announced the release of its entire roster and head coach, resulting in a full rebuild for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 season.

It is rumoured that the OMiT roster that competed at the Esports World Cup could fill the gap, although no official confirmation has been made.

Los Angeles Guerrillas M8

Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 finished the regular season in 11th place, failing to qualify for Champs. After struggling at the Esports World Cup, Matthew ‘KiSMET’ Tinsley announced he is searching for new opportunities for 2026.

Alongside KiSMET, Noah ‘Lunarz’ Whillock and Giancarlos ‘oJohnny’ Carrasco have also departed the franchise, which will be looking to rebuild as the French esports organisation takes full control of the slot.

Riyadh Falcons

Outside of roster changes, the franchise’s biggest update for next season is its relocation from Las Vegas to Riyadh on September 10th. This makes it the first CDL franchise to emanate from the Middle East.

Despite being the latest franchise to join the CDL, Riyadh Falcons is also undergoing changes for next season as it looks to climb the league table.

Thomas ‘TJHaLy’ Haly has left the Falcons, leaving it looking for a new player for next season.

With TJHaLy out the door, the franchise has recruited Cellium for the 2026 season, following two Major victories during the Black Ops 6 season.

Miami Heretics

The all-Spanish roster of Miami Heretics had cemented its position towards the top of the CDL, with regular top-four finishes over the course of this year.

Adrian ‘MettalZ’ Serrano and José ReeaL Manuel Fernández have left the franchise. As such, CDL Rookie of the Year David ‘RenKoR’ Isern and Diego ‘SupeR’ Escudero are looking for two players to complete the line-up.

After a lengthy period on the substitute bench, Alejandro ‘Lucky’ López has confirmed his retirement from Call of Duty esports, bringing an end to a ten-year career.

Following claims of breaking a verbal agreement to remain with the franchise for next season, ReeaL has been officially released ahead of his rumoured move to Toronto Ultra.

After several players left the franchise, Miami Heretics has signed Nicolas ‘Traixx’ Monaco to its roster. The player is widely regarded as one of South America’s top talents and will make his debut in Black Ops 7.

Cloud9 New York

After a disappointing season, Cloud9 New York is another franchise looking to rebuild its roster for Black Ops 7.

Following several players announcing their free agency, the franchise announced it has released its roster and head coach on August 12th.

It remains to be seen which players will represent the franchise next season, with several players continuing to decide on their next destination.

G2 Minnesota

The latest franchise to make changes to its roster is G2 Minnesota.

Giovanni ‘Gio’ Webster, Dylan ‘Nero’ Koch, and Kenny ‘Kenny’ Williams have all announced their departures, leaving Justice ‘Estreal’ McMillan as the sole remaining player.

While the franchise hasn’t revealed its starting lineup for the Black Ops 7 season, G2 Esports unveiled a rebrand from Minnesota Rokkr to G2 Minnesota on October 21st.

The move means 2026 will be the first CDL season where none of the original franchise names will appear.

Boston Breach

Boston Breach is one of the last franchises to confirm its roster for the Black Ops 7 season.

On November 12th, the franchise confirmed Eric ‘Snoopy‘ Pérez Lozano, Evan ‘Purj‘ Perez, Cameron ‘Cammy‘ McKilligan, and Byron ‘Nastie‘ Plumridge will represent the franchise in 2026.

Nastie joins Boston following a successful stint competing under the Vancouver Surge banner, scoring three second-place finishes during the Black Ops 6 season.

Carolina Royal Ravens

Another franchise that has struggled to compete towards the top of the table is the Carolina Royal Ravens.

On November 10th, the franchise unveiled that the trio of Jay ‘Craze‘ Mallhi, ‘Lurqxx‘ and Dylan ‘Nero‘ Koch will join Austin ‘SlasheR‘ Liddicoat to complete the starting lineup.

The former Challengers players will make the move to the highest tier of Call of Duty esports.

When Is The Next CDL Season?

The next Call of Duty League season is set to begin in December, with online matches determining seeding for the opening Major of Black Ops 7 taking place in Dallas, Texas, from January 29th to February 1st, 2026.

2026 sees the league return to the UK for the first time in five years, with DreamHack Birmingham playing host to Major 2 from March 27th to 29th.
