ESforce Holding has announced the closure of its English content site, Cybersport, as of November 2018.
The announcement was made yesterday night by Cybersport.com Managing Director, Michael Cohen.

The full post, found on the website outlines that the site is closing for reasons “beyond our control” despite listing notable statistics from the website’s 15 months live.
The article outlines the following stats:
- Over 7,250 articles published (15 pieces released daily)
- Over 500 player interviews, 350 features
- Over 20+ international events attended and covered on-site
- Over 128,000 Facebook follows, 11,500 Twitter followers
- Among the top 10 most-read esports media website in the world
As a result, of the site’s closure, the eight editorial members of staff will all be released from their roles at the site as the team permanently dissolves.
There has been no other announcements from ESforce Holding regarding other media outlets or its numerous other business ventures.
Cybersport.com comes as the latest fatality in what’s always been a difficult media space to operate in. Over the last two to three years many sites have come and gone as monetising esports content continues to prove difficult and the landscape continues to evolve.
