Online tournament platform ChallengeMe.GG has announced the arrival of a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition, the United Masters League.

Sponsored by esports content and betting brand Unikrn, the league will see European teams battle it out for approximately $290,000 (£226,749.55) in Unikrn’s cryptocurrency: UnikoinGold.

United Masters League

The league will utilise ChallengeMe.GG’s tournament and ladder platform, running from November 19th to March 2019. The top four teams will battle it out at the M7M Esport Factory in Osnabrück, Germany over March 29th-31st.

The teams that will compete in the United Masters league are as follows: AGO, X6tence Galaxy, 3DMAX, Tricked, Euronics, Valiance, Windigo Gaming, Expert eSports, Sprout, Alternate aTTaX, Red Reserve, LDLC, Vexed Gaming, and HAVU.

Jakub Szumielewicz, CEO of AGO Esports commented on the league: “AGO Esports is very glad to participate in United Master League. We believe that this product will make big influence on esports market in Europe, and strengthen cooperation between esports organizations. ‘United’ is definitely a great word for this project!”

The United Masters League is not only sponsored by Unikrn, but by AMD, Grid, M7M Esports Factory, runtime.gg, and noblechairs too.

In October, Unikrn announced the rollout of its Isle of Man-approved cryptocurrency betting service to over 20 nations. It allows users to bet on teams and tournaments and utilises UnikoinGold to offer additional incentives and benefits.

Esports Insider says: There will undoubtedly be a lot of naysayers due to the involvement of cryptocurrency, but Unikrn appears to have good intentions and has proven it does things properly. There’s a lot of discussion surrounding the amount of online competitions and scheduling at the moment, but regardless, it’s good to see these teams get another opportunity to prove themselves.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
