Isle of Man-based esports betting operator Luckbox has announced a key hire in the form of Frida Ericksson, who will join as its Director of Operations.

Ericksson’s previous post was at Pinnacle and her new responsibilities will include the overseeing of gambling, security, fraud prevention, verification, payments, and customer support.

Ericksson discussed her new role in a statement: “I was amazed by the enthusiasm I felt when having my initial conversations with Luckbox and I decided that this was a company I want to be a part of. The passion for esports is truly in the DNA of Luckbox. Being part of building what I believe will be a world class esports betting platform sounds like an amazing adventure and opportunity.

“My role will be pretty broad and will involve several aspects of customer interactions: security, fraud, verifications, payments, customer support and tools for all these areas. My aim is to ensure a smooth payments and verification flow together with a world-class customer support.”

Luckbox is aiming to launch its services early in 2019. At the beginning of August, it was awarded a full licence under the Online Gambling Regulation Act (OGRA) issued by the Gaming Supervision Commissions. This made the company the first cryptocurrency-supported esports betting platform to be assigned a top-tier gambling licence by the Isle of Man government.

Quentin Martin, Chief Operating Officer of Luckbox added: “I’m delighted to welcome Frida to the company. Having someone with her experience and talent working on such key areas of our infrastructure will be crucial in driving Luckbox forward. Frida has proven track record in the industry, working with renowned operators and her recruitment is a real coup for us.”

Esports Insider says: As Luckbox gears up to launch its services, it makes sense to see hires such as this. Ericksson is clearly experienced in the betting industry and appears to be a good fit for the betting operator! We wish her luck (no pun intended)!

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
