WEMADE has commenced the global release of Legend of YMIR, a fantasy MMORPG that combines Norse mythology with blockchain-based gameplay.
This launch makes the Web3 version of the game available in Asia, North America, Europe, and South America, following its initial operation period in South Korea.
The title is built on Unreal Engine 5 and offers five character classes: Berserker, Warlord, Skald, Völva, and Archer.
Servers to Battle for a 2026 World Championship and Bitcoin Prizes
Legend of YMIR departs from conventional MMORPG structures by introducing “Partner’s Servers”, a player-led system where server operation rights are auctioned, allowing community hosts to create events, manage economies, and share in-game profits.
The first auction for ten servers was conducted on the WEMIX PLAY platform between October 16 and 26, with all available servers sold successfully.
This community-driven model is reinforced through the Streamer Partner’s Server and Streamer Supporting System (SSS) programmes, which give content creators tools to engage fans and organise events—part of WEMADE’s broader vision for player ownership and sustainable creator economies.
The game also incorporates a structured competitive system, where Server Battles are held biweekly for players to establish regional dominance.
Servers that perform successfully in these contests will qualify for the YMIR Cup, an international esports championship scheduled for early 2026 in Hong Kong. Participants in this tournament will compete for WEMIX token rewards and competitive titles.
To commemorate the launch, several promotional events will be held. One such event is the Lucky Totem campaign, where participants are offered a chance to win prizes, including 1 Bitcoin (BTC), using WEMIX native tokens obtained during pre-registration.
Additional campaigns, including the YMIR Global Launch Airdrop and the Path of the Hero event, are offering NFTs and other in-game rewards.
The release of the Legend of YMIR coincides with reported growth in the WEMIX PLAY ecosystem. Earlier this year, the platform’s MMORPG, ROM: Golden Age surpassed one million pre-registrations prior to the official launch.
