Beyond The Summit is a well known tournament organiser in the DOTA 2 space, operating numerous ‘behind-the-scenes’ style tournaments. These are tournaments in which players aren’t simply competing; they take part in the broadcast itself. Now, a CS:GO tournament featuring over $100,000 (£79,000) in prize money, has been announced.

In the world of CS:GO, a similar tournament format is hosted by TaKe TV in the form of the Acer Predator Masters. That format was taken from TaKe’s previous tournaments in StarCraft 2, where they hosted the Homestory Cup. BTS started their tournaments back in 2014 with the DOTA Summit. Since then eleven tournaments have originated out of the organisation, including in Super Smash Bros: Melee.

The tournament will be hosted over April 19th-23rd in Los Angeles. More information in terms of invites, qualifiers and talent is set to be revealed in the coming months, but they have already announced the invite of SK Gaming. The Brazilian side are currently on what can be best described as a slide in form, so nailing down a tournament invite past the start of 2017 is critical for them right now.

More information on the cs_summit is available from the BTS website.

Esports Insider says: A respected tournament is moving over from DOTA 2 into CS:GO. Ignoring the already congested calendar CS is facing, it’s an interesting format that is being thrown to the top of the scene after taking part in the middle tiers of CS:GO over the past few years. Waiting on the next invites, it’ll be one to watch.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
