Riot Games entered a multi-year sponsorship with Dell’s gaming PC brand, Alienware, covering numerous competitions.
This deal includes sponsorship of LCS, LEC, Mid-Season Invitational, North America vs Europe Rift Rivals, the All-Stars event, and the World Championship.

Kia motors into esports with LEC sponsorship
Kia Motors has entered esports by becoming the main sponsor of Europe’s premier LoL event, the LEC.
The automobile giant will create digital content throughout the year – debuting on both DBLTAP and Dexerto – and it will have presence at stadium events across Europe.

Origen partner with Audi ahead of LEC
Origen, one of 10 franchise partners of the LEC, has partnered with Audi ahead of the competition’s inaugural season.
Now owned by RFRSH Entertainment, Origen is under the same roof as CS:GO team Astralis – who had a solid stint with Audi over the past year.

ESL UK to lead government-funded £4M R&D Project
A big deal for UK esports, ESL UK-led project Weavr Consortium has been awarded a two-year £4 million demonstrator grant by the UKRI, a departmental public body of the UK Government.
The aim of the project is to focus on improving broadcasting in esports with the use of augmented reality, virtual reality, and other data-driven methods of storytelling.
