Indian esports organisation Global Esports has signed former Paper Rex (PRX) player Patrick ‘PatMen‘ Mendoza to complete its VCT Pacific 2026 roster.

Announced through an official post on Global Esports’ social media channels, the 24-year-old joins after a strong season with PRX. This includes a VCT Masters trophy in Toronto, a top-four finish at VCT Champions, and winning VCT Pacific Rookie of the Year and Initiator of the Year.

Joining PRX in March 2025 after playing in the VALORANT Challengers League for the past two years, PatMen quickly established himself as a key player in the team’s success. That being said, Paper Rex decided to part ways with the player.

The organisation explained that the decision was made after an “internal review” involving the players, coaches, and performance staff, according to an official statement on X.

Global Esports’ Roster Features Familiar Faces

With PatMen joining, Global Esports has put together a six-man roster for the upcoming 2026 season.

Savva ‘Kr1stal‘ Fedorov, Go ‘UdoTan‘ Kyung-won, and Derrick ‘Deryeon‘ Yee Dong Ting were retained from the 2025 roster. Meanwhile, Kale ‘autumn‘ Dunne and Xavier Hebron ‘xavi8k‘ Juan were brought in alongside PatMen.

Autumn previously played for FunPlusPhoenix in VCT China, while xavi8k joins from NAOS Esports, a team from VCL Southeast Asia. The two were initially signed temporarily to replace Joseph Oh ‘Ban’ Seung-min and Chae ‘yoman’ Young-mun for the SOOP VALORANT League Southeast Asia Qualifier, but their performance earned them the right to stay for the whole season.

Global Esports also unveiled the team’s coaching staff, which will be led by Hector ‘FrosT‘ Rosario, formerly of TALON Esports. He will be supported by assistant coach Vladimir ‘vladk0r‘ Kornev, data analyst Daniel ‘Platoon‘ Zhou, and analyst Thong ‘balax‘ Chern Kwi.

Paper Rex Faces Roster Building Delays

PRX, on the other hand, has yet to unveil its fifth player for the upcoming season.

According to the organisation, there have been unexpected complications arising from premature information leaks, leading to delays and extensions during the negotiation period. That said, PRX is expected to only replace PatMen for 2026, with Ahmad ‘d4v41‘ Khalish Rusyaidee bin Nordin, Jason ‘f0rsakeN‘ Susanto, Ilia ‘something‘ Petrov, and Wang ‘Jinggg‘ Jing Jie all staying.

The new VALORANT season for Paper Rex and Global Esports will start on January 22nd with the VCT Pacific: Kickoff. The top three teams from this phase will qualify for the first international tournament of the year, the VCT Masters Santiago.
