Esports organisation OpTic Gaming has announced that it will host the Battlefield REDSEC Cup, presented by tournament platform Repeat.gg.

The tournament will run from March 5th to 12th, where players of all skill levels will compete to secure the lion’s share of a $10,000 (~£7,470) prize pool.

The OpTic Battlefield REDSEC Cup will unfold as a solo score-based tournament, where players strive to climb the global leaderboards based on their in-game performance.

Points are earned by placing high in REDSEC battle royale matches and through other means such as assists, kills and revives; however, players can also lose points by dying. By March 12th, a player’s top 10 best matches will decide their final place on the leaderboards.

The $10,000 prize pool will be distributed among the top 30 players, with the highest scoring player receiving $5,000 (~£3,740). Additionally, select participants will also win the OpTic Swag pack valued at $317.50 (~£237), which includes a $100 (~£75) store gift card alongside OpTic-branded backpack, LED Sign, socks, and flag.

The tournament is free to enter, and players can apply through the OpTic Battlefield REDSEC Cup webpage on the Repeat.gg platform.

The State of Battlefield Esports

EA announced big esports plans for Battlefield REDSEC, announcing a $1m (~£747,900) circuit last November, including the amateur Open Series and professional Elite Series. However, after facing technical issues, the developer postponed both tournaments to 2026.

Last December, the developer shared that it remains “fully committed to the Battlefield REDSEC Elite Series” and would provide updates in the new year. However, as of writing, no new dates have been announced for either the Open Series or the Elite Series.

As a result, Battlefield’s competitive scene has been upheld by the online community and popular influencers in the space.

Gaming content creator and streamer Jack ‘CouRageJD‘ Dunlop held the Courage Clash tournament for Battlefield REDSEC, where 32 influencers competed for $100,000 (~£76,200) prize pool on November 11th, 2025.

The event was won by team Wildcat, consisting of influencers Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek,  Timothy ‘iiTzTimmy’ An ‘Skadoodle‘ and ‘Just9n‘.

Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
