Isle of Man-based esports betting operator Luckbox is gearing up to launch its betting service with development entering its final stages.

Later this week, those who visit the website will see live odds as the first stage of Luckbox’s betting functionality is implemented.

Users won’t be able to deposit money or place bets at this stage, but they will be able to test out the betting functionality.

Boris Mihov, Chief Product Officer for Luckbox commented on the redesign: “So far, our site has been all about content – esports news, stats, match schedules, live streams, etc, and all that has been pivotal in building our community and audience but now we are ready to take the first steps in deploying our betting functionality.”

Beta testing will be launched soon with a small group of selected individuals from Luckbox’s community being able to check the redesign out. This will be scaled up in the near future with a view of – should everything go smoothly – accepting customers in a few weeks.

Luckbox was awarded a full licence under the Online Gambling Regulation Act (OGRA) issued by the Gaming Supervision Commissions last August. It has also forged partnerships with Abios and MoneyMatrix in recent months, leading up to the launch of its betting service.

The company has also made a number of key hires over the last few months, including Frida Ericksson as Director of Operations and Deyan Valtchev as Head of CRM.

Esports Insider says: Luckbox has done well when it comes to keeping relevant and in the conversation while it built its betting service. No bookmaker is yet to fully crack the code and really utilise everything that’s available when it comes to esports betting so we’re intrigued to see what Luckbox has come up with.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
