UK Esports Awards has announced two more partnerships ahead of its second annual event, with e-commerce store Zavvi and Funko POP! Vinyl subscription service Pop In A Box both showing support.

Both companies will sponsor an award on the night, with Zavvi sponsoring the ‘Player of the Year’ award and Pop In A Box supporting the ‘Organisation of the Year’ award.

Zavvi and Pop In A Box join electric scooter retailer Pure Scooters who’ll be providing pre-drinks for the event and giving away two products during the evening. Last week, Jägermeister was announced as the cocktail partner for the event. Gaming monitor manufacturer AOC was also unveiled as a returning sponsor.

Alex Winward, Marketing Director at The Hut Group commented: “As the home of pop culture we are huge gamers ourselves and we are so excited to partner with the UK Esports Awards in celebration of their 2019 Player of the year and Organisation of the year awards!”

The UK Esports Awards announced the finalists for this year’s awards just last month. 14 of the 15 categories were announced, all of which are based off of public nominations.

The categories for the upcoming awards are: Player of the Year, Manager of the Year, Organisation of the Year, Caster of the Year, Presenter of the Year, Streamer of the Year, Tournament of the year, Admin of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Videographer of the Year, Reporter of the Year, Service Provider of the Year, Backstage Hero of the Year, and Banter of the Year.

Esports Insider says: The most important part of this announcement is that it brings two non-endemic brands into an esports event, even if it’s not in a huge capacity. The awards are shaping up to be a nice, well-supported evening to celebrate the industry in the UK and those that help to move it forward!

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
