Malta-based company Quickfire has announced a total rebrand, changing its identity to Eden Esports.

Eden Leisure Group, one of the largest entertainment providers in Malta, acquired the company in 2017.

As well as acting as an esports news portal, Eden Esports hosts events. In 2018, it hosted SuperNova Malta – a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament with eight prominent teams participating. Team Liquid ended up taking home the trophy and the lion’s share of the $150,000 (£121,785) prize pool.

Simon De Cesare, CEO of Eden Leisure Group discussed the change: “We’ve decided to take this important rebranding decision with the aim to have Eden Esports become more in line with Eden Leisure Group’s identity and make it align more cohesively with the rest of the Group.”

In addition to its SuperNova Series, Eden Esports operates the Champions Cup and European Champions Cup. The latter has a $60,000 (£48,723) prize purse and the likes of Heroic, BIG, AVANGAR, CR4ZY, OpTic Gaming, HellRaisers, and Team Heretics are set to compete later this month.

Eden Esports also hosts the B2B conference Malta Esports Forum and the Hotshot Series, a series of online CS:GO competitions that includes teams from Europe.

As well as owning Eden Esports, Eden Leisure Group is the parent company of InterContinental Malta, Eden Cinemas, 89.7 Bay, Eden SuperBowl, Cynergi Health & Fitness Club, Casino Malta, Holiday Inn Express, InterContinental Arena Conference Centre, The Axis, and Eden Car Park.

Esports Insider says: Leaving behind a brand that’s known by many is never an easy decision but bringing it more in-line with its parent company seems to make sense if Eden Leisure Group is wanting to be more overt with its ownership.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
