Brazilian organisation paiN Gaming announced a sponsorship from automotive manufacturer BMW.
The deal includes a jersey sponsorship, branded content, events, and activations that will include “around 50 paiN Gaming pro players and influencers.”

North American organisation Pittsburgh Knights announced investment from NHL player Evgeni Malkin.
The Russian hockey player, who competes for the Pittsburgh Penguins, has invested an undisclosed amount into the organisation.

Call of Duty League branding and prize pool confirmed
Activision Blizzard officially unveiled the Call of Duty League, its branding, and its prize pool.
The Call of Duty League will be played exclusively on PlayStation 4 and will boast a total prize pool of over $6 million (£4.9 million) in its first year.

Nerd Street Gamers announces $12M Series A funding
Philadelphia-based Nerd Street Gamers announced $12 million (£9.8 million) in funding through its Series A round.
Retail chain Five Below led the round and will build 3,000 square foot Localhost facilities connected to its stores, beginning in 2020.
