Team Liquid has expanded its partnership with German software corporation SAP to include its LCS-winning League of Legends roster.
SAP and Team Liquid first began working together in 2018 with most of the attention being attributed to Dota 2.

SAP will work with Team Liquid during its run at the League of Legends World Championship, which gets underway on October 12th. Team Liquid’s first game comes against Korean first-seed Damwon Gaming.
Michael Artress, Team Manager at Team Liquid had this to say about the expansion: “With SAP’s data we will now be able to show Doublelift exactly why we aren’t picking him Vlad, but instead grabbing Sona during those crucial game 5 deciders. If we need to break down the laning stage, see how much damage was mitigated in a team fight due to items or abilities, or check the win rates when certain champions are paired against others, SAP will be there to help us with the data and analytics we need.”
Team Liquid will utilise SAP’s data knowledge to support its players’ growth and improvement by analyzing performances based on in-game data. This same data-led approach helped the team achieve fourth place at The International 2018 and second place at The International 2019.

Esports Insider says: Team Liquid clearly feels SAP was vital in the its improvements in Dota 2 – and with Liquid’s LoL side coming off the back of a second place finish at MSI and another LCS title – the sky’s seemingly the limit with this partnership.
