Heading to South by South West or PAX East next month? Expect to see some esports with each set to feature $10,000 Hearthstone tournaments next month.

PAX East takes place in Boston on March 10th to 12th whereas the well renowned SXSW is around a week later on March 16th to 18th.

Each is set to feature a considerable $10,000 prize pool with a $4000 prize for first place. The competition will also reward those that perform with Hearthstone Championship Tour points, with first grabbing 15, second seeing 12 and eight going to third and fourth. These numbers continue to fall with those placed in ninth to 16th positions still receiving two points.

The events are being put on by One Nation of Gamers and Republic of Gamers, with Geico the presenting sponsor.

Up to 156 players will compete in the competitions in a double elimination format.

Esports Insider says: These are two cool and diverse events for Hearthstone to be involved with, and for the scene $10,000 as a prize pool at each is not to be sniffed at.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
