Cloud9 fined by Riot Games for violating LCS rules
North American organisation Cloud9 has been fined by Riot Games after it was found to have violated LCS rules.
Cloud9 issued equity through an “employee stock plan” to seven players over the course of 16 months. The total fine for the organisation, according to Riot Games, is approximately between $330,000 (£255,903.45) and $605,000 (£469,156.32), with the latter figure being the minimum that is expected to be paid out.

MDL Chengdu Major welcomes McLaren and Secretlab sponsorships
Mars Media secured sponsorships from Secretlab and McLaren for the MDL Chengdu Major.
As part of the deal with the British automotive manufacturer McLaren, MDL Chengdu Major will showcase two MDL-branded McLaren cars on November 22nd-24th.

ESL One to host Dota 2 Major in Los Angeles
ESL announced that Los Angeles will play host to an upcoming Dota 2 Major, with ESL One Los Angeles taking place on March 20th-22nd.
The event marks the first time that ESL will have hosted Dota 2 tournament on the West Coast of the states.

Riot Games and 4Entertainment to launch Belgian and Dutch leagues
Riot Games partnered with events and broadcasting company 4Entertainment to create national League of Legends leagues for the Netherlands and Belgium.
Although Riot Games still considers the Benelux as one region, Belgium and the Netherlands will have their own separate leagues, complete with €25,000 (£21.361.35) prize pools.
