The eleventh season of the Intel Extreme Masters concluded in Katowice, Poland and the StarCraft 2 Championship was amongst the highlights.

It was the Koreans who dominated the tournament, although Polish player Artur “Nerchio” Bloch performed well in front of a home crowd.

Mikołaj ‘Elazer‘ Ogonowski took part in the tournament too but didn’t fare quite so well this time around. Back in November last year he put in some memorable performances and defeated Nercio at BlizzCon; he is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned within European StarCraft.

The 19-year-old Zerg player was the latest to grace the halls of podcast Esport Talk. They asked the rising star about his first steps in RTS and gaming in general. Who were his idols when he started playing competitively? Are there players he still looks up to?

As a student he isn’t a full time pro which gives his relative consistency and performances extra credence. He is currently on the hunt for a new team after leaving True eSport in December.

Esport Talk also quizzed him on wider issues such as the state of the game itself at the moment and what needs to be addressed in order to make StarCraft great again. For those into their StarCraft you’ll also be able to hear Elazer’s thoughts on who is the best Zerg player in the world?

They also touched on what we can expect to see from the player himself this year. Tune in below and find out. You can check out the rest of Esport Talk’s podcasts here

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
