Lagardère Sports has expanded its presence in League of Legends by signing with European side Team ROCCAT

Lagardère made its first move in esports by signing a partnership with Unicorns of Love back in January. Now it’s following this up with a new exclusive marketing partnership but staying focused on League.

Lagardère Sports will help the team in marketing campaigns and help them to find and establish sponsorship opportunities. It has already done some good work in that regard for Unicorns, who penned a deal with mineral water giants Gerolsteiner.

René Korte, Founder and CEO of ROCCAT: “Here at ROCCAT we live esports. Therefore, we have realized very early that this is the growth market in gaming with more to come in the future. The evolution so far has proven, that we are right. To make full use of the chances and potentials of the Esports market we are going to cooperate with Lagadère, to aggressively push not only our own but also the growth of the whole scene.”

Robert Müller von Vultejus, Managing Director of Lagardère Sports Germany added: “We are very happy to announce the second partnership with a LCS team only a few weeks after our entry in the Esports market. The cult of ROCCAT in the gaming world is unique. The close relationship between fans and Team ROCCAT as well as the company ROCCAT offers numerous possibilities and new approaches to activate sponsorings.”

ROCCAT are having a tough time of it this season; in the League Spring Split they’re currently fourth with a record of 4-7. The team, which like Lagardère is based in Hamburg, has previously operated rosters in CS:GO and StarCraft II but for now they’re focused only on League.
Esports Insider says: Team ROCCAT have made a good decision in signing a deal with city neighbours Lagardère. The agency has already showed that it’s capable of delivering with the deal between Gerolsteiner and Unicorns.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
