Super Evil Megacorp have announced their first Vainglory Unified Seasonal Championship and it’ll take place in London at the O2.

The event will run from Friday May 19th to Sunday May 21st and will host the best six teams from North America and they’ll be joined by the best six teams from Europe.

It’s set to be the first time that teams from Europe and North America have clashed in a live setting since Vainglory’s inaugural World Championship back in December in Hollywood. The tournament in December boasted a $120,000 (£95,000) prize-pool, and we could expect something similar here.

The top six teams in the overall Vainglory 8 points standings will qualify for the tournament. Fnatic, who recently joined the plethora of big name organisations picking up Vainglory teams will host the event as London’s official Vainglory team.

Tickets are available for as little as £10 (for three days), and VIP Packages can be purchased for £70.00. Compared to traditional events at the O2 it’s but a mere drop in the ocean and it represents great value. There’s promises of free swag and for those who opt for VIP there’s custom Vainglory hoodies, tickets to the official after party plus food vouchers and more.

We recently wrote about Vainglory leading the way for mobile esports, and there’s now very few big name organisations that don’t house a Vainglory team. We only have to take a look back at the last two months which saw a burst of organisations getting involved, with Fnatic, Echo Fox, Misfits and NRG a few to get involved.

The O2 last year played host to the ESL Pro League Finals in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive where the best in the FPS world competed for their share of $750,000 (£595,000).

Now it’s time for mobile esports to take centre stage as London plays host to the best in the world of Vainglory. Early-bird tickets and further event details are available here.

Esports Insider: What’s that you say? The best Vainglory teams in the world in ESI’s own back yard? We’ll be there – and we strongly suggest you should be too. I guess we better get our Fnatic swag on and be ready to cheer London’s official team.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
