As part of the agreement, Golden Guardians players will continue to stream exclusively on Twitch, plus the team will feature the Twitch logo on its jerseys.

Hunter Leigh, Head of GSW Esports, commented in a release: “With so many new streaming platforms emerging, it was a priority for us to continue our partnership with Twitch, the most renowned platform in the industry. Twitch has always offered Golden Guardians fans a reliable place to engage with our pros, and we look forward to building on this relationship moving forward.”

Golden Guardians was initially formed in late 2017 to join Riot Games’ North American League of Legends Championship Series (LCS).

In December 2019, the organisation overhauled its branding and announced plans to expand into further games. Since then, the organisation has added players and rosters in Apex Legends, World of Warcraft, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Teamfight Tactics, and Hearthstone.

Cody Conners, Director of Partnerships North America at Twitch, added: “Esports and gaming have emerged as a medium to connect sports organisations with fans, and the Warriors have led that charge with the Golden Guardians. We are pleased to offer this roster of talented players a home in which to build a strong community.”

Esports Insider says: Golden Guardians has expanded its focus, but Twitch remains a cornerstone of its strategy amidst continued growth. It’s been really neat to see a traditional sports organisation embrace esports in such a multifaceted way.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
