Electronicstars, the CS:GO challenge platform, has gone live with a new and updated version of its site. 
On Electronicstars gamers can challenge each other for a pot which can either be real cash or points which can be traded for skins.
It currently solely runs Counter Strike Global Offensive competitions, but both Dota 2 and League of Legends are being trialled and tested.
The new site has added and improved functionalities and folllwing a lengthy testing phase, Electronicstars is allowing players to deposit money and request cash withdrawals.
In doing so it has the become the first site of its type to allow such transactions.
CEO and Founder Eduardo Pintor said: “Thanks to being in the EU our running costs are very low, however, accessing funding and getting media exposure is also a bit more difficult.”
The company, which is based in Malta, has been operating for two years with a modest private investment of €500,000 (£425,000), and another investment round for the same amount has recently been secured.
It has managed to acquire an impressive 200,000 active users that are mainly based in the EU and Eastern European countries. The firm will use the new investment funds to push for further international expansion, and ensure the integration of new features which they claim could be a game changer.
Pintor commented: “We are very excited to be back with this new version of the website, however, we have a lot of changes on the way which shall surprise our users in the next coming months. We are dedicated to provide visibility to good players outside the professional eSports circuits, and we want to reflect that in our platform.”
