Spanish esports-focused education company Esports Professional has partnered with DreamHack Spain to expand its educational offering.
The agreement will see students and alumni of Esports Professional have access to internship opportunities through DreamHack’s Spanish arm.

The partnership coincides with Esports Professional’s current recruitment drive for the sixth rendition of its esports management course due to begin on September 28th. The five-month course is designed to give students skills across business management, sourcing investment, marketing, legal compliance, as well as team and tournament management. The partnerships will see internships either on offer after completion or integrated into coursework.
Rafael Espinosa, Director of Esports Bureau and Esports Professional, commented in a release: “The agreement with DreamHack Spain adds to the great efforts we are making so that our students have the best possible access to the esports labour market. Doing an internship with DreamHack will not only give them experience, but it will also give them access to an international market through one of the most important global companies in the sector.”

Arturo Castelló, CEO of Encom Games and DreamHack Spain, added: “The Esports Professional course is one of the most serious and professional projects in terms of training within our sector, we join it with the purpose of opening the growing esports labour market to the maximum number of people possible. It is essential to give opportunities to new professionals, who will be a fundamental piece in the growth of esports in Spain.”
Esports Insider: The jury is still out on the value of esports-focused education as opposed to traditional education streams that are industry-relevant. But partnering up with DreamHack Spain is a big win for the Spanish esports education provider. At a price of €1,250 paid upfront, there could be potential accessibility concerns, but the chance of a DreamHack internship may be enough of an incentive to give it a crack.
