Beyond the Summit took to Twitter yesterday to announce the third iteration of their hugely popular Super Smash Bros tournament, Smash Summit. Ten players have received direct invites to the event with six spots to be filled through a fan vote.

The Summit events are often amongst fan favourites across both Dota 2 and Smash Bros, due to the intimate setting. The tournaments are held from BTS’ gaming house in Los Angeles and offer a unique experience where spectators can watch their favourite competitors interact in a more casual environment.

It is expected that the crowdfunding structure to increase the prize-pool will remain similar to previous years. The community can purchase votes to bring their favourite players to the tournament and money raised will contribute towards the final prize-pool.

Amongst the invitees is William “Leffen” Hjelte of Team Solo Mid who, due to complications with obtaining a visa, has not competed at a Smash Summit despite being invited to the previous two. Favourite heading into the event is likely to be reigning champion Adam “Armada” Lindgren of Alliance who has won both previous BTS tournaments.

More details on the crowdfunding structure are to be released shortly.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
