Financial details and the duration of the deal has not been revealed. However, the partnership will apply to all of Virtus.pro’s main rosters across multiple titles.

Since the partnership between the two parties began back in March 2020, Virtus.pro ran several giveaways involving HyperX products which garnered plenty of interest from its fans. According to a release, activations of similar nature are expected to be taking place throughout 2021.

In the 12 months since Virtus.pro partnered with HyperX, a lot has changed for the peripherals brand. The company has added the likes of XSET and Guild Esports to its roster of partners and in February 2021, it was revealed that PC hardware company Hewlett Packard will acquire HyperX for $425m (∼£304m).

With the announcement of this extension with HyperX, Virtus.pro has a total of four partners on its roster, including sports betting company Parimatch, Great Wall Motors-owned marque Haval, and esports retail network Fragstore.

Esports Insider says: The inaugural year of the partnership between the two parties has evidently proven successful, hence the renewal. Alongside the HyperX logo appearing on the jerseys of Virtus.pro, it will be interesting to see the activations that come from this extension and how the deal differentiates from other similar partnership collaborations.
