Able Esports strikes Bud Light deal

Canadian esports organisation Able Esports has secured a partnership with brewery Brasserie Labatt.

As a result of the partnership, the brewery’s Bud Light beer brand will be featured on Able Esports’s team jerseys. Moreover, both entities will collaborate on ‘various online activations’, according to the release.

Emil Vanjaka, VP of Business Development at Able Esports, commented: “We are extremely excited at the opportunity of working with such a renowned partner to bring more exciting events and content to our growing fanbase. 

“This partnership is a big step towards further reinforcing our vision of partnering with high-quality brands with local roots that have the potential to continue to significantly elevate esports in Quebec and Canada.”

Brasserie Labatt has also been named as the esports organisation’s official beer partner.

Alongside the brewery, Able Esports has secured a range of partnerships in 2021. This includes GiNX Esports TV Canada, French esports broadcast network ES1, and GURU Energy.

Christian Boulerice, Sponsorship Director at Labatt, commented: “Able has demonstrated a lot of professionalism and we are thrilled to partner with them as a local esports partner. This collaboration falls squarely in line with our strategy in further solidifying our Bud Light brand in the esports space and supporting local organisations with high growth potential.”

Some of Bud Light’s other esports partners include the likes of Evil Geniuses, Toronto Ultra, Team Liquid, and CLG. 

Esports Insider says: In recent months, the Quebec-based esports organisation has secured a variety of valuable partnerships that range from content to competitive play. Bud Light’s deal with Able Esports also continues the beer brand’s integration into the esports industry.
