Australian esports organisation ORDER has named Michael Speakman, formerly of Tennis Australia, as its Head of Commercial.
In his new role, Speakman will help to navigate ORDER’s commercial opportunities by offering a ‘creative space for brands to connect’.

Moreover, he will be responsible for improving and delivering partnerships across the gaming ecosystem.
Marc Edwards, ORDER CEO, spoke on the announcement in a release: “We are very pleased to welcome Mike to ORDER. He brings with him a wealth of experience in sales, business development and commercial rights from traditional sports.
“Mike has a strong record of delivering results, and as our business continues to expand and provide opportunities for brands to connect with the gaming community, we look forward to the impact Mike will have on our business strategy.”
Prior to joining ORDER, Speakman worked with multiple well-known Australian sporting bodies including Golf Australia, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and most recently Tennis Australia.
During his time as a Senior Business Development Manager at Tennis Australia, Michael was responsible for the growth, vision and product development across the company’s revenue streams, including the Australian Open, ATP Cup and Tennis Australia’s business more broadly.

Earlier this year, ORDER also appointed Josh Rush as its Chief Brand Officer and Ryan Nejmanowski as its Chief Development Officer.
Esports Insider says: ORDER has been recently fairly busy with hiring executives for its growing roster of creative talent as the organisation aspires to expand and grow. Speakman’s previous experiences with business development management in the Australian tennis business should be vital in the organisation’s further development.
