The facility is equipped with 18 high-end gaming PC’s as well as technology to facilitate live broadcasting and streaming.

Student-athletes and university officials will unveil the space during an on-campus ribbon-cutting event today (October 8th). The event will consist of a Q&A session with SNHU esports players and coaches, as well as a live Overwatch match against New York-based Molloy College.

Initially slated to open in March 2020, the opening of the arena was delayed due to the pandemic. It’s said the arena is one of the first college esports facilities in the state.

Southern New Hampshire University launched the state’s first competitive esports programme in 2018.

Esports Insider: University buy-in of esports has noticeably grown in the last few years, and we expect that trend to continue in force. Unlike traditional sports, esports is being built from the top-down. As we’re seeing now, the collegiate esports space is starting to fill itself out with university acceptance and the establishment of programmes and gaming centres, such as the facility at Southern New Hampshire University.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
