Kiwi gaming startup Uproar is a platform which rewards gamers for playing games. Founded in 2016, Uproar.gg is entirely free to join and players earn points for completing in-game objectives or taking part in the Uproar community. They can use the points to buy in-game items like skins and currency or gear like peripherals from Razer and SteelSeries.

Since the start of 2017 Uproar.gg’s monthly active users (or MAU’s) have grown by 1200%. With support for League of Legends, Paladins, Vainglory, Halo Wars 2, Halo 5, Destiny, Smite and Dota 2 added in the last 3 months, the fair assumption is that this will continue to grow. Uproar.gg has also continued to build on successful partnerships with Gaming studios such as HiRez and Perfect World.

CEO and Founder Charlie Meaden commented: “The Uproar.gg platform not only provides an engaging platform for gamers, but it has achieved exceptional success for gaming companies who have advertised on Uproar. 30% of gamers on Uproar try a new game because of our reward system and 42% of our Users interact with our video advertisers.”

It is of course common for most games to see an erosion of their player base as time goes on and player retention is a key challenger for all studios. It’s here that Uproar.gg sees itself as providing a valuable service to help these studios retain their customer base or introduce new games.

Meaden explained: “Uproar aims to solve this pain for gaming companies and brands by helping them reach targeted audience, 92% of our users are male between 18 – 25 years old. Also Uproar has achieved proven success by helping gaming companies and brands increase engagement with their existing users. Over half of total users of Uproar, regularly participate regularly in Quests, and over half a million quests have been completed on our platform.”

Esports Insider says: Half a million Quests completed in eight months isn’t bad. We first spoke to Uproar back in December 2016 and it’s great to see the company flourishing. The concept; players being rewarded for playing the games they enjoy is simple and logical enough, though it’s the manner in which Uproar have delivered it that is clearly working.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
