Former New York Islanders executive Leonard Edwards has been appointed Vice President and Head of Global Partnerships for North American esports organisation Evil Geniuses.
Edwards will oversee Evil Geniuses’ sales initiatives, new partnerships, sponsorships and commercial sales. As Vice President, he will also work on the company’s general strategy,

Prior to joining Evil Geniuses, Edwards held the position of Vice President of Partnership Sales at the NHL franchise New York Islanders. Prior to his job at the Islanders, Edwards worked extensively in sales and partnerships for more than two decades. His career experience includes tenures at NASCAR, Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA, as well as the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes.

Edwards also has experience in the esports industry. He was the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships for fellow North American organisation Dignitas. One of his main goals at Evil Geniuses will be to grow the company’s global community and provide valuable partnerships for the future.
