G2 Esports have today announced a global partnership with Logitech G, the gaming brand of Logitech International.
The deal, which was published on both G2’s website and Logitech’s own blog, will see the team participate in upcoming tournaments with new Logitech G wireless peripherals, such as mice, keyboards, and headsets.
G2’s announcement described the deal as ‘a great honour’ to make a global partner with the company, and cited a strong match due to a shared outlook regarding similar ‘work ethic and philosophy’. As well as having access to Logitech G gear, the team’s players will also take part in product research, giving their input to ensure that quality and comfort matches their preferences.
CEO of G2 Esports, Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez, pointed towards an existing history of success with the brand. “Our teams have been using, and winning, with Logitech G products for years,” he said. “We’re excited about our partnership with Logitech because both organizations share a deep passion for the industry, a dedication to hard work and a commitment to winning.”
“G2 is one of the most exciting teams in esports and will be a fantastic partner as more and more of our esports teams win with wireless peripherals,” said Ujesh Desai, Vice President and General Manager of Logitech Gaming.
The partnership offers some financial succour for G2, who missed out on a franchising treasure trove when their application to the North American League of Legends Championship Series was denied just last month.
