Having been in gaming and tech journalism since 2007, I've witnessed genres and franchises have their moments, and I've played and written about innumerable games in print and online. I'm a dedicated PC owner and gamer, I'm a passionate writer, and I care about facts as much as sentiment. That's allowed me to be:
- One of the first gaming reviewers on the original Den of Geek site.
- Editor of PCGuide.com, covering all things tech and PC-related (including hardware and peripherals essential for gaming).
- A freelance proofreader and fact-checker for Pearson
- A freelance writer for a multitude of online media and tech publications.
"FPS and PVP fans growing tired or needing a break from round-based matches may enjoy checking out DayZ. It's a sandbox survival game where PVP matters, and you never know if a player will be friendly or a foe. You loot up, you survive, you don't get to extract, and the adventure is completely yours. Large maps to learn, plenty of unexpected moments to endure, and there's peace and relaxation in there, too (you can fish). It's not for everyone, but it's a good change of pace."
