6 – 7 MARCH 2024

Uniting leaders in esports, games & education

The second edition of ESI Next Gen will take place over 6–7th March 2024 in partnership with the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub at Jesus College, University of Oxford.

This will take place across two days, including one full conference day on Thursday 7th with a main stage track of sessions, alongside breakout sessions and workshops, a student tournament showcase, and networking and socials throughout.

Next Gen is for those working in, studying or simply interested in, the integration of video games and esports in education, both curricular and extra-curricular.

This next edition follows on from a successful inaugural show at the University of Warwick, and we’re delighted to be taking the event to one of the historic colleges at the world’s oldest university.

The Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub at Jesus College, Oxford

Through a wide range of interactive events, talks, workshops and performances led by Jesus College researchers and collaborators from across the University and beyond, the Digital Hub’s term-time events programme aims to demystify the digital age, enable participants to learn new digital skills and shine a light on how advances in digital technologies are transforming our understanding of the world around us. The programme is curated by the SOUTHWORKS Career Development Fellow of the Digital Hub, Dr Janina Schupp.

The Digital Hub also champions the power of collective endeavour by enabling academics at all stages of their career to study using innovative digital tools and methodologies, and to work in collaboration across disciplines, institutes and time zones on research that has a global impact.
