TL;DR

  • Spirit Blossom refers to a collection of LoL skins themed around a fictional, Japanese-style festival.
  • There are currently more than 30 Spirit Blossom skins in the game.
  • The collection began in 2020 and has continued to grow, with the most recent Spirit Blossom skins released in July 2025.
  • Some of the best Spirit Blossom skins include Prestige Spirit Blossom Springs Aphelios (and Alune), Spirit Blossom Thresh, and After Hours Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri.

The Spirit Blossom skins in League of Legends are a popular skin collection set with inspirations rooted in Japanese folklore. The skins included in the collection have specific designs associated with these themes, making for some particularly eye-catching outfits and unique animations and effects for certain LoL champions.

If you’re thinking of investing in one or more of the LoL Spirit Blossom skins, then keep reading, as we’re going to be looking at all of the skins and how to get them. We’re also going to list our top 10 picks for the best Spirit Blossom skins as of July 2025.

What are Spirit Blossom skins, and how can you get them?

As mentioned, the League of Legends Spirit Blossom skins are inspired by Japanese folklore and the traditional Obon festival, which is one of the most culturally significant Japanese festivals, dating back more than 500 years.

The Spirit Blossom skins reimagine the LoL champions as deities and spirits from the fictional Spirit Blossom festival, giving them fantastical and ethereal designs. The skins also tend to have floral themes, keeping in line with the themes of nature that surround the Spirit Blossom festival.

Most of the Spirit Blossom skins can be purchased in the LoL shop for Riot Points. The Legendary Spirit Blossom skins are a bit more pricey than the Epic skins, but that’s to be expected. Some of the Spirit Blossom skins cannot be purchased directly, such as the Prestige skins. Players can buy the event pass when Spirit Blossom events are active. Once the pass has been purchased, Prestige skins can be unlocked by earning XP and event tokens via gameplay and missions.

Another way to get Prestige Spirit Blossom skins is via the Mythic Shop by using the Mythic Essence in-game currency. Mythic Essence can be obtained in event passes, but they can also be collected from Masterwork Chests or Hextech Chests.

There are also two particular Spirit Blossom skins – After Hours Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri and Spirit Blossom Morgana– that are in the newer, rarer category of LoL skins. They can only be obtained in the gacha system known as The Sanctum. Players can pull for rewards in the gacha via Ancient Sparks, which cost 400 RP each. These skins could cost a lot of money, as 1,000 RP costs $10. However, the element of luck does factor into The Sanctum gacha system, so they could also be obtained cheaply if fans are lucky enough.
