When does Marvel Rivals Season 4 start?
Marvel Rivals Season 4 will drop on September 12, 2025. The update is set to release at 09:00:00 UTC. Be aware that there will be a maintenance period when the update comes out. This maintenance time is expected to last between two and three hours.
New heroes in Marvel Rivals Season 4
The Asgardian goddess Angela– sister of Thor and Loki– is the latest hero to join the Marvel Rivals roster in Season 4. Angela is a Vanguard hero who can fly and also generate shields, axes and spears.
In the Season 4 trailer, Angela is shown facing off against Daredevil, who will also be coming to the game. However, much like Ultron and Blade, Daredevil will likely be released in the mid-season update for Season 4. According to the Season 4 roadmap, Season 4.5 will release on October 10, 2025, so this is likely when Daredevil officially becomes a playable hero in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals Season 4 maps and modes
There will be an overhaul to Arcade Mode in Marvel Rivals Season 4, along with one brand-new map. The new map is called K’un-Lun: Heart of Heaven, and it is a Convergence mode map that will be released on September 25, 2025.
The revamps to Arcade Mode are coming on September 12 with the general release of Season 4. The upgrades include a mix of returning game modes and brand-new ones, but they will all now be permanent and available to play anytime. Here are the game modes you’ll be able to play when Season 4 releases:

- Free Fight: New mode
- Giant-Size Brain Blast: Returning mode.
Marvel Rivals Season 4 battle pass
As with every other season, Marvel Rivals Season 4 will have a brand-new battle pass full of fun cosmetics for various heroes. The Season 4 pass is called the Fruit of Immortality battle pass, and it will include 10 new skins that can be unlocked with Chrono Tokens. However, only players who purchase the luxury battle pass will be able to unlock all the new skins.
The battle pass pricing will be the same as it has been in the past seasons. Players can opt for the regular, luxury or upgraded luxury battle pass. In the regular battle pass, players do not have to pay anything to unlock rewards. However, what they will receive is limited. A handful of the cosmetics and in-game currency rewards in the pass can be obtained for free, and these are the only items that regular battle pass users can earn when unlocked with Chrono Tokens.
The luxury battle pass allows players to earn all the rewards, though you still need to use Chrono Tokens to unlock them. You also need to pay 990 Lattice –one of the in-game currencies of Marvel Rivals–to unlock the luxury battle pass. The upgraded luxury battle pass is similar, though it has a few more perks (at a cost). For 2,100 Lattice, players immediately get 2,800 Chrono Tokens and a 20% bonus to any Chrono Tokens earned during the season.
The new skins available in Season 4 Marvel Rivals are as follows:
- Abyssal Glow Luna Snow
- Winter’s Veil Winter Soldier
- Starlit Outlaw Star-Lord
- Golden Age Captain America
- Old Man Hawkeye
- Astral Wanderer Doctor Strange
- Dark Phoenix Phoenix
- Immortal Firebird Loki
- The Trial of Magneto Costume Magneto
- Moon Knight Mech Moon Knight
Out of these 10 costumes, only Golden Age Captain America and The Trial of Magneto Costume Magneto are free. The other eight skins can only be unlocked with the luxury battle pass. Along with the skins, there are a range of other cosmetics–such as emotes, nameplates and MVP animations– and in-game currencies.
Along with the battle pass, the Scroll of the Immortal Beasts season event also offers the chance to obtain the Ultron Wasteland Robot skin for free. The roadmap for Season 4 also showed that the next wave of Swimsuit and Summer Special skins will be released on September 19, 2025. Angela will get a Skulo 2099 skin when the season drops. Hela will receive a new costume–The Grim Lady–on September 26, and Emma Frost will get one–Hellfire Protocol–on October 3. Some new accessories for Cloak & Dagger, Luna Snow, Scarlet Witch and Magneto will also be released on September 26.
That’s everything you need to know about Marvel Rivals Season 4. Plenty of new cosmetics are coming, but the Arcade Mode update also means that players can enjoy the different game modes whenever they want. There isn’t too long a wait until season 4.5 either, which will likely have even more content for Marvel Rivals fans to enjoy.
