Last year it was revealed that Gfinity would be the official global tournament partner for the Forza Racing Championship, and now it has been announced that Microsoft has extended its partnership with the tournament organiser for 2018.

Forza Racing Championship

Gfinity will manage all league operations for the 2018 season of Forza esports, including the online qualifiers and any local events. This includes the live playoffs in both Seattle and Mexico City, which will see players battle it out for the $75,000 (£53718.75) prize pool.

Neville Upton, Chief Executive, Gfinity discussed the extended partnership in a statement.”Our partnership with Microsoft goes from strength to strength and this is further proof of the quality of our team and services we provide that we have been appointed as the global operator for the Forza Racing Championship 2018.”

“Forza Motorsport 7 has such a passionate following and we can’t wait to host the best drivers at our Gfinity Esports Arena in October,” Upton continued. “The award-winning Forza Motorsport 7 is the most beautiful, authentic and comprehensive racing game Turn 10 Studios has made, featuring over 700 cars and showcasing 60 frames per section racing on the Xbox family of devices and native 4K on Xbox One X.”

The regular season for Forza will commence on April 2nd, and culminates with the Forza Racing World Championship 2018 at the Gfinity Esports Arena in October. 24 top players from around the globe will compete for the lion share of the $100,000 (£71,623) prize pool.

Esports Insider says: Upton sounds pleased that Microsoft decided to continue their partnership for the upcoming season, and fans should be too. This is some more good news from the Gfinity camp which will soon see the kick off of its third Elite Series season in its expanded format with a number of big names involved including Fnatic, Team Vitality and UNILAD.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
