Unikrn, an esports betting and news platform, has entered an exclusive brand deal alongside Playwire with the Sacramento Kings‘ Kings Guard Gaming – a team that’s set to compete in the upcoming NBA 2K League.
The Sacramento Kings have made some notable staff appointments for its esports team in the last few days, and it has chosen Unikrn – who are in the world of cryptocurrency alongside betting – and PlayWire, to represent it in the inaugural season of the league.
PlayWire is predominantly known for internet video services, dealing with video players for video publishers – acting as an alternative to YouTube. In March of this year, the company expanded into offering a ‘Complete Monetization Platform’: a system for that allows web-based businesses to optimize for monetization and to help understanding web analytics.
Just last week it was announced that NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal is the General Manager of Kings Guard Gaming, and UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber has been appointed as the organisation’s Director of Mental Performance and Human Optimization.
Kings Guard Gaming, alongside the other organisations who are set to compete in the NBA 2K League, recently went through a drafting process to establish which players will be representing them. The team drafted “Mootyy”, “Worthingcolt”, “Timelycook”, “Safiya4ya”, “Cowboyxcollazo”, and “ColeWorld2K”.
Esports Insider says: Kings Guard Gaming has made some impressive hires with O’Neal and Faber, as well as some absolute steals in the NBA 2K draft, so hopefully it’s continued its hot streak of choices when it comes to Unikrn and PlayWire.
