Online game retailer, Kinguin, has announced it will be adding coaching services to its platform.
Players will now have the ability to chose the game they’d like lessons in and instantly be paired with an available coach, or pick their own hours for a private session. All sessions are held on Discord and, according to the announcement, coaches are registered and vetted by Kinguin and backed with a 100% guarantee. For higher skilled players, the service gives them the opportunity to apply as coaches for the platform and take their skills to the next level by passing knowledge to players looking to improve. To start, players can book sessions in CS:GO, Dota 2, Fortnite and PUBG.
The addition of coaching services have been in beta testing since September with various community members trying out sessions.
Viktor Wanli, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Kinguin said: “While coaching for video games isn’t new, having a reliable place to purchase legitimate coaching services is. We are very excited to be able to provide this platform on the Kinguin Marketplace for both players and coaches to safely and securely transact.”
Kinguin recently partnered with Ravelin back in March to combat against fraudulent purchases on the game retail platform.
Esports Insider says: Coaching services are popping up left and right in gaming and esports as everyone wants to become the best of the best and hone in their individual skills. With the rise in coaching services come scams and fraudulent services but with Kinguin creating its own program, back with a guarantee, it’s exciting that players will have the ability to learn from the best just as if they would in any traditional sport.
