Turtle Beach has expanded its partnership with production company DreamHack to sponsor DreamHack Atlanta on November 16-18th.

The headset brand will provide its Elite Atlas headset for those participating in the League of Legends and Fortnite tournaments hosted by the American Video Game League (AVGL).

Marcus Lindmark, CEO of DreamHack discussed the expanded partnership: “We are proud that Turtle Beach, one of the biggest names in gaming audio, has jumped onboard as the main sponsor of the AVGL LoL and Fortnite tournaments and want to work with us to drive more attention around collegiate esports. College esports is a massive, yet underserved grassroots movement, so its exciting to be working with both the AVGL and Turtle Beach to help put an even brighter spotlight on these amazing college gamers.”

Besides the collegiate community events at DreamHack Atlanta, there will be the Halo Championship Series (HCS) Finals, the Brawlhalla World Championship, an open CS:GO event, the Hi-Rez Expo, live music, free-to-play LAN areas, and more.

Juergen Stark, CEO of Turtle Beach also touched on the deal: “DreamHack creates some of the best gaming festivals in the world, so we’re excited to do more with them in Atlanta where we can showcase our just-launched Elite Atlas PC gaming headset. Not only is DreamHack a great environment where fans can experience first-hand the Elite Atlas’ true pro-level audio and comfort, but now we’re also going to get to watch some of the best collegiate gamers go head-to-head playing some of the best competitive multiplayer games in the world, using one of the best PC gaming headsets on the market.”

Esports Insider says: Collegiate esports is receiving more and more support from both small companies and endemic, big brands and that’s an overwhelmingly positive thing to consider. One of the biggest grassroots efforts for producing new talent – both in and out of competing – is being placed in colleges and schools, so Turtle Beach offering its support there is a solid move.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
