The organisation is set to compete in FIFA and is said to harbour “some of the most competitive Italian and international players.” According to the release, Team Romagnoli has already inked deals with Cosimo Guarnieri, Emiliano Di Gianni, and Giuseppe Magliarella.

Robert Forzano, Co-founder and Marketing and Communication Director at Pro2Be Esports discussed the venture in a release: “We are [an] enthusiast of working on such an important project for the Italian and European scene. This new partnership, and in particular the first one with a football player [as] popular as Alessio, shows the continuous growth of our company. We are looking forward to [undertaking] this new adventure with the goal of promoting the AR13 brand.”

Romagnoli also seemed enthusiastic about the endeavor, saying: “I am a huge fan of video games and FIFA in particular. Last year I became interested [in] esports by following the most competitive international pro players and so I got fascinated by the great tournaments that took place around the world. I understood that the traditional and the virtual football speak the same language. That’s why I decided to create my own team, which has my name on it. The goals are to compete at the highest levels of this virtual world and to entertain the fans.”

Esports Insider says: Romagnoli’s newest project marks the second instance this month in which a notable footballer has entered esports – second to Ronaldhino with ‘R10.’ All things considered, having the prestige of both AC Milan and the Italian national team linked to AR13 is another positive showing for the industry.
