Gaming peripherals company HyperX has been announced as the exclusive peripheral and internals sponsor for the 2019/20 Collegiate StarLeague (CSL) season.
HyperX will provide products as prizes for weekly and monthly CSL events as part of the deal.
Wim Stocks, CEO of Collegiate StarLeague discussed the deal in a release: “HyperX continues to build its global presence and support for competitive gaming, [we’re] so thrilled to have them integrating for our collegiate/CSL leagues, and [we] completely appreciate their passion and affiliations with our various collegiate gaming and esports initiatives.”
HyperX will equip Collegiate StarLeague with peripherals for its on-campus LAN events, meet-ups, and Fighting Game Collegiate Circuit – amounting to over 60 events throughout the year.
It’ll also be the presenting sponsor of the CSL 2020 grand finals at the HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas over April 17-19th, in which it owns the naming rights to the venue.
Esports Insider says: This partnership with CSL marks the first time HyperX have entered a rapidly growing North American collegiate esports market. If the sponsorship is successful for both parties, it could be the beginning of a long-term partnership.
