Ben Spoont, CEO and Co-founder of Misfits Gaming Group, spoke on the partnership in a release: “In these difficult times, we’re thrilled to have a versatile partner in Zaxby’s, that could adapt from live event activations for fans watching the broadcast. Florida Mayhem fans will be able to take part in Zaxby’s competitions and deals while watching matches from the safety of their own homes.”
With Zaxby’s having more than 900 locations, and nearly 100 in Florida alone, the partnership can provide plenty of opportunity for local Florida Mayhem fans. The deal also delivers an opportunity for fans to win prizes online, with one winner being chosen each day the Florida Mayhem play for the remainder of the Overwatch League season.

Joel Bulger, CMO of Zaxby’s Franchising, added: “We’re excited about the opportunity to fuel esports fans with Zaxby’s famous hand-breaded chicken. It’s the perfect meal to enjoy between matches.”
Zaxby’s joins the likes of SoFi, Gift of Life, Zipchair Gaming, Matrix Keyboards, and Frontier Communications as a partner of Misfits Gaming Group’s Overwatch League franchise.
Esports Insider says: Zaxby’s entering esports as a partner of the Overwatch League’s Florida Mayhem is a notable development, proving that esports is robust even in the event of a global pandemic. With esports becoming one of the main avenues of live entertainment during the coronavirus outbreak, this partnership is a positive sign.
