Envy Gaming’s Acer partnership extended to Dallas Fuel

Envy Gaming announced over the weekend that it has renewed its partnership with hardware maker Acer and expanded the alliance to include its Overwatch League team.

Acer’s Predator gaming hardware brand now sponsors the Dallas Fuel in addition to Team Envy. The companies announced their initial partnership in March 2019.

Geoff Moore, President and COO at Envy Gaming, commented in a release: “We’re proud to be growing our partnership with Acer. Our players and staff know they can rely on Predator devices to provide the quality gaming and work experience needed to perform their best.”

Additionally, Envy Gaming’s new headquarters in Dallas, Texas will be outfitted with Acer Predator computers, which will also be issued to coaches and players throughout the organisation for practice and training. The Predator Gaming Lounge at Envy’s facility will be used for local fan events, including competitions, watch parties, and educational esports seminars.

The companies will also continue to create video content together, such as the “Predator Training Room” series, while Predator branding will appear on Team Envy jerseys.

Richard Black, Vice President of Marketing at Acer America, added: “The Predator brand of PCs and monitors is widely known as one of the most popular, high-performance solutions for both professional gamers and enthusiasts. We’re always pushing to partner with the best to demonstrate Predator’s unparalleled power, and Envy Gaming is the perfect organisation to represent us globally.”

Esports Insider says: Much like Complexity Gaming with its own nearby Texas facility, these semi-public headquarters offer a great opportunity to activate a brand beyond jersey logos and online content. That’ll be a great benefit for both Envy and Acer once the team can begin hosting events there.
