Ta commented on his new venture in a release: “Mobile is transforming how consumers interface with the world and how brands engage with their audiences — there’s no better organization than Tribe to help navigate this space. Tribe laid the foundation for mobile gaming content and esports, and I’m excited to continue building on their hard work to support brands, gamers, and Tribe itself within the entire mobile ecosystem.”

Specialising in cultivating and executing brand partnerships, media sales, and influencer campaigns across gaming and esports, Ta most recently served as Brand Partnership Lead for Method. While there, he worked with both endemic and non-endemic partners, including negotiating media rights sales to a soon-to-be-announced streaming partner in mainland China.

Jonathan Sakoucky, Co-founder of Tribe Gaming, spoke about the hire: “Brian started his career by successfully helping brands through the wild west of digital advertising and influencer campaigns. He has the creativity to find new ways to add value and the execution skills to make them a reality. I’m confident he’ll be a great addition to the Tribe as we continue to grow our team and pave the way in mobile gaming.”

This quickly follows on from the organisation raising over $1 million (£831,680) in its seed funding round, securing investment from Boston Celtics player Gordon Hayward, professional wrestler Claudio “Cesaro” Castagnoli, and Kristian Segerstrale, CEO of game developer Super Evil Megacorp.

Esports Insider says: Esports is about more than just gaming; it has become an entertainment powerhouse. Ta joins Tribe Gaming with a plethora of experience not only with partners and influencers, but Hollywood studios, major digital platforms, brands, and game developers. He joins Tribe at a pivotal time for the organisation which is ready to impress coming off its funding round.
